This African print architectural mesh couture gown by ASAKE-OGE is a floor-length column evening dress featuring a sculpted illusion halter neckline, monochromatic geometric heritage textile, and a weightless tulle overlay that extends from the waist and trails behind the body. Custom made-to-order in sizes XS to 3XL, priced on request.

About This Gown

The Aṣọ Eclipse is built around a single idea: presence through precision. The column silhouette is fully engineered to elongate the frame and sharpen posture from the moment you put it on. The illusion halter neckline is structured with sheer mesh paneling that frames the shoulders and décolletage with architectural intention — neither fully covered nor fully exposed, but deliberately composed.

The monochromatic geometric heritage print runs vertically through the bodice, a placement decision that is not accidental. Vertical print alignment is a technique used in couture construction to lengthen the visual line of the body, and on the Aṣọ Eclipse it works exactly as intended. The tulle overlay panels are cut to move with the body — fluid and trailing without ever feeling heavy or excessive. The concealed back zipper keeps the silhouette clean from every angle.

This is a garment designed to transform posture and atmosphere simultaneously. It is less about decoration and more about identity.

How to Style This Gown

The Aṣọ Eclipse is the kind of piece that does not need help. Keep accessories to a minimum and let the silhouette carry the occasion.

For a fashion gala or red carpet event, pair with sculptural gold earrings — nothing below the collarbone — and a sleek braided updo that exposes the halter neckline completely. Minimal heels or strappy flats in black or gold keep the vertical line clean.

For a destination wedding or elevated cultural celebration, a single statement bracelet and clean, skin-focused beauty styling with no competing textures allow the mesh overlay and geometric print to read in full at every distance.

For an art or gallery event, wear it exactly as it is. No additions required.

About This Fabric

The Aṣọ Eclipse is built from a monochromatic geometric heritage textile—a print composition rooted in the visual language of African ceremonial design, rendered through a contemporary couture lens. The name Aṣọ itself means "cloth" in Yoruba, a deliberate acknowledgment that this garment is, at its foundation, a textile tradition made wearable. The geometric patterning draws on the same visual grammar as traditional West African weaving and embroidery — structure, rhythm, and precision repeated until it becomes its own form of language.
